Counselling
About ITL counselling
God’s intention is for us to have life abundantly (John 10:10), however, it doesn’t always happen this way. In all its beauty, life is dynamic with its ups and downs, hilltop and dark valley experiences… It is a journey.
As we are called to walk together in following Christ, ITL’s biblical counselling is about walking alongside you in your struggles and suffering. The most amazing thing in all of this togetherness is knowing that while we seek to help others grow and heal, God is also at work in us, He cares deeply about our servant hearts too.
Within limited spaces, we aim to walk alongside you through biblical counselling. We believe that we all have personal and interpersonal struggles and there is no struggle too big or shameful that Christ wouldn’t hold with and for us. All we need to do is to come and say: “I need help”
Invite Him to bring Peace to your Faith and redemption to your struggles.
The Counselling Clan:
Our Counselling Clan is made up of experienced and professional counsellors. This small group of ALICT alumni is committed to coming together in service of the ITL Global Family and ALICT participants, as they serve their communities.
They are here to serve you and guide you toward healing and freedom through biblical counselling and a Christ-centred approach.
To connect with one of our Alumni Counsellors, just click on ‘Schedule Meet and Greet’ below and fill out the form to set up an initial chat with the counsellor of your choice. This is simply a chance to connect, get to know each other, and explore how they can support you.
Meet the Counselling Clan

Jo Mita
Focus: Pre-marital, family, and peer counselling.
- Origin: Philippines
- ALICT 2014
Jo Mita serves as a counsellor in the Counselling Clan. Her areas of focus include pre-marital counselling, family counselling, and peer counselling. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed an intensive training course at the Raphah International School of Prayer Counselling in Malaysia. She also attended the Foundations for Biblical Counselling course under ITL.
Jo has been involved in healing and deliverance counselling in both the Philippines and Laos. Throughout her counselling journey, she has supported students and young professionals facing various challenges related to studies, careers, and ministry.
Her decision to become a counsellor was inspired by her own experience of seeking help and receiving counselling during a difficult season of her life. That experience not only helped her heal but also ignited a passion to walk alongside others in their journeys. She enjoys being around people and enjoys understanding how individuals relate to one another.

Abigail
Focus: Crisis, grief, trauma, marriage and family counselling.
- Origin: Botswana
- ALICT 2010
Abigail serves as a facilitator for the Counselling Clan. Crisis counselling, grief and trauma counselling, and marriage and family counselling—including pre-marital counselling—are her areas of focus and expertise. Abigail has been trained and involved in Christian counselling for over twenty years, beginning in 2004. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Ministry, with a focus on marriage, family, and trauma healing counselling.
After 2020 her husband and herself developed a family enrichment counselling initiative. Through this, they work alongside other marriage counsellors whom they train and partner with to offer counselling services across the country in various towns.
This experience forms a key part of her calling: to restore joy, hope, and dignity to individuals and families.
“I truly believe that meaningful and impactful living begins with inner healing,” she says. This belief has been the foundation of her work and passion.
