- Participants need to attend the full program (5-11 May).
- Flights will be at your own expense.
- Airport transfers will only be available on the official arrival and departure dates, and at set times.

The program is hosted close to Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Though we can not repeat the experience alumni had during ALICT, we aim to do our best to serve their journey as Kingdom servant leaders.

What to Expect: Rest, renewal and preparation for the future
Dear ALICT Alumni,
We invite you to a transformative 7-day journey: a time to rest, reflect, and replan as we navigate the next chapter of our ministry and work. This retreat is designed to renew your passion, equip you with new insights, and provide the space you need to step forward with clarity and strength.
Mornings: Reflecting & Replanning (Work & Ministry)
Together, we will explore:
• Our Journey So Far – Where have we been, and who are we becoming in our work and ministry?
• Finding Rest & Letting Go – What do we need to release in order to move forward with greater freedom?
• Breaking Barriers – What is holding us back from stepping into our next season?
• Sustaining Passion Without Burnout – Developing resilience for the long haul.
• Navigating Transitions in Life & Leadership – Embracing change with wisdom and confidence.
• Stewardship & Sustainability
o Where do we see ourselves going?
o How do we build lasting impact?
• Recognizing the Gifts in Our Journey – Learning to embrace and steward what we’ve been given.
• Leading Through Change – Strengthening our leadership for uncertain times.
• Setting Long-Term Rhythms for Growth – Creating sustainable practices for lasting effectiveness.
Afternoons: Deepening Identity & Purpose
In the afternoons, we will engage with Authentic Lives Workshop—designed to help us uncover and live out our God-given identity, purpose, and calling. Through this journey, we will gain:
• Clarity on who we truly are and how our design aligns with our mission.
• Insights into our personal story, values, and motivations.
• Tools to overcome limiting mindsets and embrace freedom in our calling.
• A practical action plan for stepping forward with renewed confidence and vision.
This retreat is not just about learning, it’s about renewal, connection, and preparation for what’s ahead. You will have time to rest, engage in deep discussions, gain practical tools, and enjoy moments of fun and fellowship.

Immerse yourself in an unique experience at Roots 2025. Connect with fellow alumni, enjoy workshops and engage in inspiring discussions. Our curated program fosters learning and connection, empowering you to sharpen your sword and contribute even more to your community. Join in on this event for some rest, recoup and refreshment. The program topic to be confirmed soon.
ITL will provide:
- Sessions
- Meals and Accommodation for the duration of the Roots program
- Transport between the airport and the Roots venue on the selected dates communicated (1 or 2 days before and after the Roots program). Transport on these days will also be on set times.
Your responsibility:
- Travel cost to South Africa and back
- Visa (application + cost)
